If you can’t wait for Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady Season 2 and want to know where to start The Magical Revolution’s light novel and manga after watching the anime to satisfy your curiosity then you have reached the right place.
More and more successful light novel series recently have been made into manga and anime adaptations recently, which is one of the key sources of the latest Japanese pop culture. “The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady (Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei)” also known as Tenten Kakumei, is one of the popular anime series adapted from the same-titled light novel.
The story follows Anisphia, the first princess of the Kingdom of Palettia and Euphyllia, the ex-fiance of Anisphia’s younger brother, Algard, who was stripped of her title as the kingdom’s next monarch. Anisphia plans to help Euphyllia regain her good name.
Studio Diomedea animated the anime’s first season, officially running for 12 episodes from January 4, 2023, to March 22, 2023, on various local networks in Japan.

Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady anime is based on the light novel series written by Piero Karasu with illustrations drawn by Yuri Kisaragi.
It first started publication on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let’s Become Novelist) in February 2019.
It was later acquired by Fujimi Shobo who published the series in physical form with illustrations.
The first volume in the novel series was released on January 18, 2020, and the latest issue came out on January 20, 2023.
A total of six volumes have been released so far, and the light novel is still ongoing.
As for the manga adaptation by Harutsugu Nadaka, a total of 4 volumes have been published.
There are two options to enjoy apart from the Tenten Kakumei anime series: light novels and manga. However, you can’t choose but to read the light novel series actually since the manga series covers only a small part of the story.
The manga adaptation doesn’t catch up with even the anime series. If you want to go ahead with the anime series and movie, just restart with the light novel series.
The first season of the anime adapted the first 3 volumes out of 6 volumes. So, it’s recommended to read the light novel series from Volume 4 onwards.
Yen Press describes the plot of volume 4 as such:
After receiving the right to succession, Euphyllia is facing a future where she becomes ruler, while Anisphia is released from her obligations and continues her research. How will this affect the future of Palettia—and Anis and Euphie’s blossoming relationship?
The anime season finale skipped some of the things from the light novel. Here are a brief description of them:
The Spirit Contract
It’s not overtly stated, but as the anime implies, Euphy getting the wings during her fight with Anise is her becoming a spirit contractor. There’s no actual ceremony to become a spirit contractor, rather, it’s something that just happens when someone with high magic affinity has an incredibly strong wish or desire. Only Euphy and her father have the magic affinity to become a contractor in the current era.
The first night
Euphy actually goes a bit further with kissing Anise in the LN, (deeply) kissing her at least two more times before Anise faints. This leads into…
Immediate consequences of the Spirit contract
There are no obvious, immediate, consequences but Euphy is now no longer human, but a spirit inhabiting a human body as a vessel. This also creates a certain detachment from her body’s needs, so she needs to consciously choose to eat, sleep, and drink or her body will die otherwise. However, these needs are also replaced with a new need, mana. As a spirit, Euphy now needs mana to live. Euphy actually drained Anise of mana while kissing her, which is why Anise fainted. Lumi actually notes that since Euphy seemed to be completely satisfied by taking Anise’s mana, they seem to have high compatibility.
Long-term, Euphy will eventually be bound by her wish. Though with her wish being to fulfil Anise’s dreams, who knows what that would mean for her.
Lumi
Lumi’s husband was actually also a “traveller” just like Anise. He was incapable of using magic. Travellers have souls that are rejected by spirits. But while spirit-bound souls tend to accept the world as-is, Travelers instead find inspiration from within themselves, which causes them to enact great change. Lumi implies that Anise seems to be special even among Travelers (Anise thinks it might be her isekai memories), though she doesn’t elaborate.
