How to turn off comments for your Instagram post

On Instagram, you can limit the interactions on certain posts by turning off comments for them. You may do it before publishing the post or after publishing it.
Use case
Disabling the comment section may be useful to those who want to share images without inviting any unwanted comments. This may especially come in handy for those with a public Instagram account. Here’s how to use this feature.
Getting started
On Instagram, tap on the ‘plus’ button at the bottom centre.
Preparing a post
Tap on an image to select it for the post, tap on the arrow at the top right, and then tap on it again on the next screen.
New post section
Here, tap on ‘Advanced settings’.

Enable the toggle for ‘Turn off commenting’ under ‘Comments’. Once done, press back and publish the post by tapping on the checkmark button at the top right.
Disabling comments on published posts
Go to the desired post, tap on the three dots at the top right, and finally tap on ‘Turn off commenting’.
Re-enabling comments
If you have disabled the comments for a particular post, you can turn them on again. Simply tap on the three dots at the top right of the post and select ‘Turn on commenting’.
How re-enabling comments works
When you re-enable commenting for a particular post, the old comments are restored and show up in the comments section again.
