A person with severe H3N2 influenza may breathe rapidly if they are having trouble breathing or have low oxygen saturation
H3N2 influenza can worsen existing chronic medical conditions like asthma or diabetes
With severe cases of influenza or other viral illnesses, fever or inflammation in the brain can cause seizures or convulsions
A high fever that lasts longer than three days is a typical H3N2 influenza symptom and indicates a more serious case of the illness
