CoD Warzone Mobile May Replace CoD Eventually
Activision stated last year that the free-to-play battle royale game Call of Duty: Warzone is coming to smartphones.
The Warzone Mobile is set to be widely released in 2023, following a limited release in November 2022.
Microsoft has announced that after Warzone Mobile is released, Call of Duty: Mobile will be "phased out" over time.
Activision is developing Warzone Mobile, which would offer Microsoft with the assets, experience, and talent needed to produce mobile versions of its own console games.
Interestingly, if the new title is a disappointment, we wouldn't be shocked if Activision flips its intentions and keeps COD Mobile as the series' flagship game on mobile.
