The Faraway Paladin Blu-ray had low sales, with each volume only selling around 300 to 500 copies. It also did not rank in the top 20 on Oricon. In general, Blu-ray sales below 1,000 are considered poor, even in 2023.

The latest manga volume of The Faraway Paladin did not perform well either. it didn’t rank on Oricon even once. It sold fewer than 20,000 copies. While there is no official information on the number of copies in print, it’s likely around 300,000.
There is very little merchandise available for The Faraway Paladin, with only 20 merchandise and no figurines currently. This is a disappointing situation. Such a low number is rare.
The low sales numbers for The Faraway Paladin suggest that its anime adaptation was not successful. It is likely that the second season was planned from the start, as it is unlikely that it would have been green-lit otherwise.

As of January 2023, The Faraway Paladin Season 2 doesn’t have a release date, even if it is confirmed. However, the release date for the second season of The Faraway Paladin is likely to be in 2023.
The second season is not coming out anytime soon, likely in the second half of 2023.
If The Faraway Paladin season 2 release date was anytime soon, we should already have a trailer. Trailers are released 3 to 9 months before a new season of anime premiers.
Also, Saihate No Paladin season 2 Episode 1 release date should have been in 2022, but I believe it’s coming out so late because of the state of China.
The studio behind this series, Children’s Playground Entertainment, is outsourcing a lot to China.
Likely Overlap, the publisher, even regrets announcing the second season. I don’t think it won’t come out, but even that is an option. So I wouldn’t say 100% that The Faraway Paladin will have a season 2.
