Spy Kyoushitsu or Spy Classroom is finally getting a TV anime adaptation after almost 3 years of the first light novel release.
The announcement for the anime came during the Fantasia Bunko Online Festival 2022 in March. The news, while not entirely unexpected, was certainly welcomed.
Sugio Art Online, a Twitter user famous for Anime leaks confirmed the news before the official release through a tweet in February.

Fans were excited to hear the news and it did not take long for the Spy Classroom subreddit to be overtaken by anime enthusiasts.
Feel, the Japanese animation studio, is producing the new anime while Keiichiro Kawaguchi is directing it.
Spy Classroom Release Date Speculation
The new Spy Classroom anime will premiere in January 2023 in Japan. Unfortunately, we do not have a specific release date as of yet.
We do have the official Twitter account providing us with the latest news regarding the upcoming anime.
Since the anime was announced in March, it is reasonable to think that the studio did not rush the project and took its time to make the anime the best it can, as it seemed to be a common complaint among the fans.
One comment on a subreddit mentioned, “As we know, the anime might not make justice to the LN”.

Where Will Spy Classroom Be Available?
The series will air in January on Japanese TV. As far as the rest of the world is concerned, we do not have any official information but we can assume that Crunchyroll will simulcast the series in the United States and other Western countries.
As for the dubbing, since Crunchyroll and Funimation merged, we can expect to see the dubs in various languages shortly afterward.
It is not clear as of yet if Crunchyroll has exclusive streaming rights in certain countries. If not, we will likely see popular streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video pick the series up soon.

Spy Classroom Plot Speculation
Since the producers have not yet announced otherwise, we can safely assume the anime is going to be following the light novels very closely.
The story will follow Klaus, the lone survivor of the spy team Inferno as he sets out to train 7 misfits and teach them everything he knows within a month to prepare them for “Impossible Missions”.
How Successful Were The Spy Classroom Light Novels?

“It’s refreshing , fun and interesting. I would recommend it to anyone as a solid read. My only gripe is that characters could be explored more. I imagine that will change in future and it doesn’t detract from the story.”
