Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari Season 2 unveiled with promo and key visual!
A good supernatural series is always fun to watch, and Winter 2023 did not disappoint as the anime adaption of Onigunsou s manga hit the small screens.
The premise is set about spirits called Tsukumogami who can possess old objects and gain physical forms when crossing over into the human realm.
The Saenome clan is tasked to seal them to seal these spirits, who are generally non-violent and often get sent back through a simple verbal exchange.
The plot follows Hyouma Kunato of the Saenome clan, who deeply hated Tsukumogamis as one of the spirits took away his brother and sister.
Hyouma s’ past trauma with the spirits has been manifested into him taking physical confrontational measures as opposed to pleasant exchange.
Seeing his actions as demeaning for a future clan leader, Hyouma’s grandfather, Zouhei, proposes that he starts living with Botan Nagatsuki.
Unfortunately for Hyouma, Botan Nagatsuki is a young woman whose family comprises six Tsukumogami.
Despite the change in surroundings, Hyouma is determined to track down the spirit which took away his siblings.
Can Hyouma succeed in hunting the Malevolent spirit, and does his opinion change on Tsukumogami after living with six of them is the central plot of the show.
After the conclusion of season one, fans were wondering if there would be a second installment or not.

Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari Season one aired from 10th January 2023 to 28th March 2023.
On 27th March 2023, the anime s’ official Twitter account announced Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari Season 2 with a promo video.
Along with the announcement, Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari Season 2 release date was confirmed to premier in July 2023.

Mononogatari manga is written and illustrated by Onigunsou. It began serialization in Miracle Jump from 15th April 2014 to 15th December 2015.
It was moved to Ultra Jump on 19th January 2016 and is set to end serialization on 19th June 2023.
The manga has been collected into 15 volumes, with the latest issue released on 19th January 2023.
As of April 2023, Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari manga has sold 1.4 million copies for volumes 1-15.

In the final episode of Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari Season 2, “Efflorescence,” the strong Tsukumogami named Kai appeared before Hyoma and incited him by referencing the paper umbrella spirit.
A fight between them resulted, yet Hyoma was plainly the more fragile one by a long shot.
