The Aristocrat’s Otherworldly Adventure: Serving Gods Who Go Too Far also known as Chronicles of an Aristocrat Reborn in Another World (Tensei Kizoku no Isekai Boukenroku) is a novel series written by Yashu with illustrations drawn by Mo.
It first started publication on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let’s Become Novelist) in October 2016. It was later acquired by Hifumi Shobo who published the series in physical form with illustrations.
Studio EMT Squared and Magic Bus are collaborating to animate the anime series with Mitsutaka Noshitani leading the production as series director and Noriyuki Nakamura as the assistant director. Natsuko Takahashi is writing the scripts, Eri Tokugawa is designing the characters and Michiru is composing the music.
Episode 9 of I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World is scheduled to air on May 30th, 2023, at 12:00 PM JST in Japan. Middle school student Yuya Tenjou has been bullied since childhood due to his obesity, even by his own parents who prefer his more attractive brother and sister. One day he manages to save a girl, Kaori Hojo, from thugs but is badly beaten in the process.
Yuya lives alone in a house he inherited from his grandfather, the only one to treat Yuya kindly. One day Yuya discovers a secret room in the house containing a portal to a cottage in another world that operates like a video game.
The cottage comes supplied with powerful weapons and while experimenting with his skills a powerful monster appears outside the cottage’s magic barrier. From inside the barrier Yuya kills the monster with a magic spear and immediately gains 100 levels that evolve his body, becoming tall, muscular and handsome. Using a skill to trade items for Japanese currency he buys new clothes before returning to Japan for his first day of high school.
His former bullies are stunned by his transformation but, along with his jealous siblings, still attempt to return to bullying him but are interrupted by the arrival of Kaori, who somehow immediately knows he is Yuya.
