Fire Hunter Season 2 Release Date Confirmed? + Teaser Revealed

Fire Hunter season 2 has been greenlit for production!

Every year, a few anime series go under the radar as they are either not promoted properly or the source material is not relatively unknown.

One such fantasy anime which fits this description is the adaption of Rieko Hinata s’ novel, Hikari no Ou or Fire Hunter.

The premise of Fire Hunter is set in a distance post-apocalyptic future wherein humans will blow up in the presence of fire.

Due to his predicament, civilization has collapsed, and humanity lives in small protected communities where they are forced to look for fuel alternatives.

The only safe source of fire is the blood of demonic Fire Fiends, and to harvest these flailings, an elite group of Fire Hunters is formed.

The story follows a young girl named Touko who resides in a remote village, and while wandering in the forest, she gets attacked by one of the fire fiends.

Luckily for Touko, she is saved by a Fire Hunter called Haijuu but, in the process, is mortally wounded. Before dying, he entrusts his dog, Kanata, and the fire sickle to be returned to this family.

After Kanata is healed, Touko begins her journey to the Capital to return Haijuu s’ dog and sickle.

Somewhere else, a well-off family embraces the fire hunter’s child, Koushi, and his sister.

Koushi learns a few upsetting realities connected with the nation’s ruling royal family.

He conducts secret exploration on a unique firestone tracked down by his late dad, launching a test of skill and endurance between the nation’s chiefs and those attempting to save humanity from its definitive destruction.

Fire Hunter Season One, despite its subpar reviews and ratings, was, as mentioned, an underrated gem.

After the conclusion of season one, fans who enjoyed the fantasy series were wondering if a second season would be on the cards or not.
