Classroom of the Elite season 3 gets its official premiere date!
Schools and classrooms are among the most common premises for many popular animes. Assassination Classroom, Fruit Basket, and A Silent Voice are some popular series that often gets mentioned in this genre.
In recent times, Shōgo Kinugasa s’ light novel series Classroom of the Elite anime, adapted by Lerche studios, has also found its place on the aforementioned list.
The plot follows Kiyotaka Ayanokōji, a student in Class D at Tokyo metropolitan advanced nurturing high school which focuses on teaching Japan s’ finest students.
The school is unique in many ways as it offers what any kid in his student life craves i.e., freedom and finance. Each student is given a monthly allowance of 100 000 points which can be used at the local shops with each point counting as 1 yen.
Whilst he majority of the class spends the money lavishly with no academic focus, Kiyotaka becomes suspicious.
As the month draws to an end, their allowance is cut off and the students are told the allowance will be given only on merit basis. They are also told about an examination which allows Class D students to be promoted to Class C but failure will lead to expulsion.
Kiyotaka begins navigating the system being careful about how he spends his points while getting to know the gregarious Kikyō Kushida and then attempting to make peace with his aloof class fellow Suzune Horikita .
In an attempt to help, Kikyō Kushida become friends with Suzune Horikita and brings her to a cafe where only girls meet. Having secretly arranged for Kikyō Kushida and two other classmates to be there however Horikita sees through the plan and leaves disgustedly.
Now aware of the rules, can Kiyotaka Ayanokōji use his analytical and planning skills to get Class-D promoted amidst other competitors is the central plot of the show.
Classroom of the Elite was received well by the fandom and has already completed two seasons. But fans are wondering when will the third season release? Keep reading to find the answer.

WHAT IS THE CLASSROOM OF THE ELITE SEASON 3 RELEASE DATE?
Classroom of the Elite season one aired from 12th July 2017 to 27th September 2017 for 12 episodes. Five years later, the show was renewed for a second season, aired from 4th July 2022 to 26th September 2022 for 13 episodes.
On 6th March 2022, an official video announcement confirmed that the series was renewed for two more seasons which will air in 2020 and 2023. The second season has already finished airing, and Classroom of the Elite season 3 release date can now be confirmed as 2023.
An exact premiere date and episode count are yet to be confirmed, but we can expect a spring 2023 release for a 13-episode run.

CLASSROOM OF THE ELITE LIGHT NOVEL AND MANGA CATCHUP
Classroom of the Elite Light novel is written by Shogo Kinugasa and illustrated by Shunsaku Tomose. It began serialization in MF Bunko J in 2015, and 11 volumes have been published, with the latest issue released on 25th September 2019.
A sequel for the light novel series titled “Classroom of The Elite: Year 2” began publishing in the MF Bunko J imprint in January 2020. As of October 2022, 4 volumes of the sequel light novel series have been published, with the latest issue released on 24th June 2022.
According to the official website, Classroom of the Elite Light Novel has sold over 6 million copies.

A manga adaption of Classroom of the Elite written by Shōgo Kinugasa and illustrated by Shia Sasane began serialization in Monthly Comic Alive magazine on 27th January 2022. The manga has been collected into 12 volumes, with the latest issue released on 22nd February 2022.

CLASSROOM OF THE ELITE SEASON 3 PLOT
The first two seasons covered the seven volumes of the light novel, and Classroom of the Elite season 3 will begin by adapting the 8th volume.
A school trip to Hokkaido is announced after the final examinations, whose itinerary includes skiing and sightseeing. The novelty of the trip involves eight students, where boys and girls will be paired and separated into two groups. Ayanokōji and Kushida are paired with Ryuen as a member of their group.
